The Benefits of Thermofloc recycled newspaper insulation:
Thermofloc recycled newspaper insulation is made from 100% organic cellulose. It is highly breathable. and works in sympathy with the building fabric to help create a healthy and comfortable indoor environment. Manufacturing Thermofloc requires very little processing energy helping make it a sustainable choice when it comes to building insulation. Thermofloc is also a very cost effective DIY solution for insulating lofts and floors.
Thermofloc absorbs nearly a third of its own weight in moisture and stays completely dry to the touch, making sure that the insulation performance is maintained across a range of humidities. Moisture is released only when temperatures increase or humidity decreases, thereby regulating indoor air quality and moisture levels.
A thermal conductivity of 0.039 W/mK ensures a consistent high performance envelope of insulation helping minimise heat loss in the winter and keeping your building comfortably cool in the summer. Thermofloc is installed at a density that provides additional thermal mass to the building envelope helping smooth out highs and lows as the building fabric warms and cools.
