Recycled insulation options at a glance
SupaSoft recycled plastic bottle loft insulation: The softest of insulations. SupaSoft uses the same technology as duvets and pillows taking waste plastic bottles and turning them into a soft, warm and kind insulation. It doesn’t itch or contain any harmful chemicals.
Good for your home, your family and the environment. Installing just one pack of SupaSoft in your loft takes 800 plastic bottles out of circulation. Insulating with SupaSoft throughout the loft of an average sized house therefore means that approximately 10,000 bottles will never touch landfill. SupaSoft – Recycling for the long term.
Thermofloc Loose Fill Insulation: A non-bonded cellulose insulation made from recycled newspaper combined with a mineral fire retardant. It offers a sustainable and cost effective way to insulate horizontal surfaces like lofts or floors.
Thermofloc has a high thermal performance and also helps with sound reduction. Available in 12kg bags the material is simply broken up into a light fluffy consistency and spread evenly to achieve the desired thickness.
